How this comparison was made

Where Bynn and Palantir differ

Palantir sells four platforms: Foundry, its data operations platform built around the Palantir Ontology; AIP, its generative AI platform; Gotham for defense and intelligence; and Apollo for software deployment. Bynn is a frontier AI research lab that delivers enterprise AI as one team, from consulting and custom models to integration, autonomous workflows and inference. This page sets the two side by side on what each builds, how each delivers, and what each publishes about deployment, price and compliance.

  • Own models, or connected ones

Palantir describes AIP as providing secure connectivity to third-party large language models, with customer models registered alongside; a Palantir-trained foundation model is not stated in the public materials we reviewed. Bynn develops its own models, including DecisionNode, its decision model and inference service, and adapts an existing model when one fits.1615

  • A platform, or a system built for one problem

Palantir's offer centres on the Ontology, a semantic model of the business that Foundry and AIP build on. Bynn builds the model, decision engine or autonomous workflow a specific problem needs, and connects it to the systems you already run.1215

  • Inference and GPU capacity

GPU capacity sold as a product is not stated in Palantir's public materials we reviewed; Apollo deploys software to cloud, hybrid, air-gapped and edge environments. Bynn provides model serving, inference and GPU resources as part of the stack an engagement needs.415

  • How each is priced

Palantir's AWS Marketplace listing states private pricing only, and a Palantir staff moderator describes a free Developer Tier with capped capacity. Bynn publishes no price list either: scope and commercial terms are agreed for each engagement.1315

Palantir vs Bynn, side by side

Palantir and Bynn enterprise AI compared on offering, models, delivery, deployment, human review, integration, compliance and pricing, from Palantir's public materials and filings read on 17 October 2026 and Bynn's own pages.
PalantirBynn
What it isFour principal software platforms, per the FY2025 annual report: Gotham, Foundry, Apollo and AIP. Foundry is described as the foundational data operations platform, built around the Palantir Ontology; AIP as the generative AI platform.12Enterprise AI from a lab that builds its own models: specialist models, decision engines that return typed decisions with a confidence, autonomous workflows, and the model serving, inference and GPU resources they run on. One team takes an engagement from AI consulting and strategy through custom development, integration and operation.15
AI modelsAIP provides secure connectivity to third-party large language models, and access to commercial and open-source models with no data retained, per Palantir. Customer models can be registered. A Palantir-trained foundation model is not stated in the public materials we reviewed.16Bynn develops its own models: decision models (DecisionNode), forensic models, age estimation and autonomy. When an existing model fits, Bynn adapts it; when a problem is new, it develops one.15
How it is deliveredPalantir states it sends its engineers into the field to work directly with customers. Its AIP Bootcamp is described as a workshop where customers go “from 0 to use case in 5 days”; its price is not stated.78Engagements pass through discover, define, build, integrate and operate, run by the same team. Not every engagement needs a new model: when an existing one fits, Bynn adapts it.15
DeploymentApollo deploys software to multi-cloud, hybrid-cloud, Private SaaS, air-gapped and edge environments, and AIP can run LLMs and other AI on a customer's private network, per Palantir.34Deployment environments are agreed for each engagement, around your requirements for data location, security and scale. Under Bynn's Data Processing Addendum, customer personal data is encrypted in transit over public networks and at rest, kept for the period you set or the order form provides, then deleted.1517
Human reviewAI-authored proposals in AIP can be subject to human validation, and automations run within scoped boundaries, per Palantir.3Confidence thresholds at which a system acts alone, and the cases that always go to a person, are agreed with you during definition and evaluation.15
IntegrationThe Ontology can be integrated with data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake and BigQuery using zero-copy integration, per Palantir's interoperability page.6Connects to the systems your teams already use through APIs and existing workflows. DecisionNode serves typed decisions with a confidence value over an inference API.15
Compliance statedPalantir's information-security page lists SOC 1 Type 2, SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001, 27017, 27018 and 9001 among the requirements its cloud platform was developed to comply and align with. Its homepage states certifications or attestations including FedRAMP and IL5, and core security controls such as audit logging, SSO and MFA are in the standard offering.911ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified by an accredited certification body, and a SOC 2 report from an independent auditor, monitored continuously, per Bynn's Trust Center and Data Processing Addendum. Controls are mapped to ISO/IEC 42001:2023: compliant, not certified.1617
PricingNo published price list as of October 2026. The AWS Marketplace listing states the platform is “accessible via private pricing only”, and the figure it shows is described there as a placeholder. Foundry compute is metered in compute-seconds, with no published rate. A Palantir staff moderator describes the AIP Developer Tier as free, with capped capacity.1214No published price list. Scope, timelines, service levels and commercial terms are agreed for each engagement; Bynn does not publish generic delivery promises.15
Scale stated954 customers as of 31 December 2025 and 4,429 full-time employees, per the FY2025 annual report; FY2025 revenue of $4.48 billion. Palantir states its platforms are used in over 50 sectors and industries.110Five products in the portfolio (ZOREAL, Agemin, Detector24, DecisionNode, Zora). Customer counts are not published on bynn.com.15

Where Bynn and Palantir hold the same bar

Both treat AI as something that has to work inside real operations, connected to the data and systems where decisions are made, rather than as a separate tool. Palantir does this by modelling the business in its Ontology and running agents and automations against it; Bynn does it by building the model, decision logic and workflow for a defined problem and integrating them with what you already run.

Both keep people in the loop by design. Palantir states that AI-authored proposals in AIP can be subject to human validation and that automations run within scoped boundaries; Bynn agrees with each customer the thresholds at which a system acts alone and the cases that always go to a person.

Neither publishes an enterprise price list. Palantir's marketplace listing states private pricing only; Bynn agrees scope and terms for each engagement.

Choosing between Palantir and Bynn

Both have real strengths. These are the situations each one's public materials point to.

Palantir may fit you if

  • You want one platform to model operations across many systems in an ontology
  • You operate in defense or intelligence and need the FedRAMP and IL5 certifications or attestations Palantir states
  • You need software deployed into air-gapped or edge environments, as Apollo describes
  • You want vendor engineers working on site as part of the platform relationship
  • You want to start with a free, capped Developer Tier before a contract

Bynn may fit you if

  • You want models developed by an AI research lab, rather than a platform that connects third-party ones
  • You have a defined problem, such as document fraud, claims or a decision in a workflow, and want a system built for it
  • You want inference and GPU resources provided as part of the same engagement
  • You want to start from products already in use, such as DecisionNode or ZOREAL Verify, instead of building from nothing

Palantir alternatives: common questions

What are the alternatives to Palantir?

Alongside Bynn, this site compares Palantir's enterprise AI peers C3 AI, Scale AI, DataRobot, Dataiku and IBM watsonx, each on its own page. Palantir's own annual report names customers' internal software development as its fundamental competition, together with large enterprise software companies, government contractors and system integrators. Which alternative fits depends on whether you need a platform, a model, or a working system built for one problem.

How much does Palantir cost compared with Bynn?

Palantir publishes no price list as of October 2026. Its AWS Marketplace listing states the platform is accessible via private pricing only and calls the figure it shows a placeholder, and a Palantir staff moderator describes a free Developer Tier with capped capacity. Bynn also publishes no price list: scope, timelines and commercial terms are agreed for each engagement.

Does Palantir train its own large language models?

A Palantir-trained foundation model is not stated in the public materials we reviewed. Palantir describes AIP as providing secure connectivity to third-party large language models, access to commercial and open-source models, and registration of customers' own models. Bynn develops its own models, including DecisionNode, and adapts existing ones when they fit.

Can you buy AI consulting from Palantir without the platform?

Model development or AI consulting sold separately from the platform is not stated in the public materials we reviewed: Palantir describes its engineers working with customers in the field as part of deploying its software. At Bynn, AI strategy consulting is a common starting point, and it leads into development, integration and operation by the same team.

Can Bynn deploy in air-gapped or edge environments like Palantir Apollo?

Palantir states Apollo deploys software to multi-cloud, hybrid-cloud, Private SaaS, air-gapped and edge environments. Bynn agrees deployment environments for each engagement and does not publish a fixed list of deployment targets, so raise air-gapped or edge requirements at the start of the conversation.

Which compliance certifications does each list?

Palantir's information-security page lists SOC 1 Type 2, SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001, 27017, 27018 and 9001 among the requirements its cloud platform was developed to comply and align with, and its homepage states certifications or attestations including FedRAMP and IL5. Bynn's Trust Center states ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification and a SOC 2 report, monitored continuously.

How this comparison was made

  • Every statement about the vendor comes from its own public materials or a marketplace listing, recorded in a claim register with the source address, a supporting excerpt and the date it was read.
  • Where those materials say nothing about a topic, the page says it is not stated in the public materials we reviewed. It never infers a gap.
  • Prices are quoted as published, with their qualifiers. Where no price is published, the page says so.
  • Nothing is scored or ranked, and no review or rating markup is used. Bynn's side comes from Bynn's own published pages, listed with the sources.
