How this comparison was made

Where Bynn and FRISS differ

FRISS describes its product as a Trust Automation platform for P&C insurers. Claims Analytics scores each claim for trustworthiness with a hybrid model of AI, indicators, predictive models, external data, network analysis and business rules; Media Check checks claim images and PDFs for manipulation, reuse and AI generation. Bynn for insurance collects claim documents across languages, examines documents and photos for fabrication or manipulation, and routes the claim with agentic fraud reasoning. This page sets the two side by side.

  • Collecting the evidence

Collection of missing documents from claimants, and the languages supported for it, are not stated in FRISS's public materials we reviewed. Bynn's agents request the documents a claim needs, follow up on what is missing and handle the correspondence across languages.15

  • A score with a rationale, or agents that reason

FRISS scores each claim with a hybrid detection model and gives the rationale for every score; in 2023 it said ChatGPT-written fraud-alert explanations do not influence the fraud assessment. Bynn's agentic fraud reasoning coordinates specialist agents and combines their findings into one assessment with its reasons.11315

  • Images and PDFs, or video and audio too

FRISS Media Check lists JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, BMP and PDF; video and audio are not stated in the public materials we reviewed. Bynn's image-authenticity models also cover face swaps in video and synthesized voices in audio.315

  • Where Media Check is offered

FRISS states Media Check, which incorporates the EU edition of Verisk's Digital Media Forensic service, was made available to insurers in Europe in July 2025; other regions are not stated. Bynn's image checks are part of its insurance workflow wherever it is engaged.415

FRISS vs Bynn, side by side

FRISS and Bynn for insurance compared on claims assessment, evidence collection, document and image checks, reasoning, human review, integration, deployment, security and pricing, from FRISS's public materials read on 17 October 2026 and Bynn's own pages.
FRISSBynn
What it isA Trust Automation platform for P&C insurers, per FRISS, which states more than 300 implementations in over 45 countries.1Claims evidence automation and fraud detection for insurers: agents collect claim documents across languages, documents and photos are examined for fabrication or manipulation, and agentic fraud reasoning routes the claim.15
Claims assessmentClaims Analytics scores each claim for trustworthiness: transactions above the insurer's risk threshold go to a person and the rest move through without manual handling. It combines the insurer's policy and claims history with external data such as public records and device signals. FRISS states a 75% reduction in false positives, without a published methodology.12Workflows run autonomously by default, with optional human review whenever an agent is unsure how to proceed. Collection and detection can run in one workflow.15
Evidence collectionCollection of missing documents from claimants, and the languages supported, are not stated in the public materials we reviewed.AI document collection requests what is needed, sends reminders in the recipient's language, identifies each document as it arrives and extracts its key fields, then delivers structured output to the system that needs it.17
Documents and imagesMedia Check checks claim images and PDFs for manipulation, reuse and AI generation, listing duplicate detection, metadata extraction, manipulation detection, PDF integrity and AI deepfake detection, in JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, BMP and PDF. Video and audio are not stated.13Document forensics examines how a file was made, not only what it says: file structure, metadata and the traces left by editing software; fonts, spacing and graphics that do not match across fields; embedded digital signatures and whether content changed after signing; and the type of document, so the right checks apply. Photos of damage are checked for AI generation and localized editing as separate signals.1517
Reasoning and reviewA hybrid detection model combining AI, fraud indicators, predictive models, external data, network analysis and business rules; each score carries its rationale, and a reviewer can overrule it. In 2023 FRISS said its use of ChatGPT to write fraud-alert explanations does not influence the fraud assessment.11314Agentic fraud reasoning: an orchestrator coordinates specialist agents, in a fixed order or chosen for the evidence in front of it, and combines their findings into one assessment with its reasons. The plan it follows can be reviewed and changed. A suspicious claim reaches an investigator with specific findings and the reasons attached, not an unexplained score.1517
IntegrationIntegrations with Guidewire (validated real-time integrations into PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter), Duck Creek and Sapiens; Verisk ClaimSearch for cross-carrier claims data; a developer portal for its REST API.169Connects to the claims systems your teams already use through APIs and existing workflows, as part of an engagement.15
DeploymentBuilt natively on Microsoft Azure, with four transactable solutions in the Azure Marketplace, per FRISS. On-premises deployment is not stated in the public materials we reviewed.10Deployment environments are agreed for each engagement, around your requirements for data location, security and scale. Under Bynn's Data Processing Addendum, customer personal data is encrypted in transit over public networks and at rest, kept for the period you set or the order form provides, then deleted.1619
Security statedFRISS states it holds ISO/IEC 27001 certification. It announced an ISAE 3402 Type 2 / SSAE 18 report for its case management services in July 2021; a later report is not stated. SOC 2 is not stated in the public materials we reviewed.1112ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified by an accredited certification body, and a SOC 2 report from an independent auditor, monitored continuously, per Bynn's Trust Center and Data Processing Addendum. Controls are mapped to ISO/IEC 42001:2023: compliant, not certified.1819
PricingNo published price list as of October 2026; FRISS's Azure Marketplace plan says it works with customers to price and package the offer for their needs.14No published price list. Scope, timelines, service levels and commercial terms are agreed for each engagement; Bynn does not publish generic delivery promises.16

Where Bynn and FRISS hold the same bar

Both put AI assessment in the claims flow and send the uncertain or high-risk cases to a person. FRISS flags transactions above the insurer's risk threshold, and a reviewer can always see why and overrule; Bynn's workflows ask for human review whenever an agent is unsure.

Both check the evidence behind a claim. FRISS Media Check looks at claim images and PDFs for manipulation, reuse and AI generation; Bynn examines documents' construction and checks photos for generation and localized edits.

Both explain their findings rather than issuing a bare score, and neither publishes a price list.

Choosing between FRISS and Bynn

Both have real strengths. These are the situations each one's public materials point to.

  • You buy through the Microsoft Azure Marketplace

Bynn may fit you if

  • You want missing claim documents requested and chased automatically, across languages

  • You need video or audio evidence examined as well as photos and PDFs
  • You want document forensics that read how each file was built

How this comparison was made

  • Every statement about the vendor comes from its own public materials or a marketplace listing, recorded in a claim register with the source address, a supporting excerpt and the date it was read.
  • Where those materials say nothing about a topic, the page says it is not stated in the public materials we reviewed. It never infers a gap.
  • Prices are quoted as published, with their qualifiers. Where no price is published, the page says so.
  • Nothing is scored or ranked, and no review or rating markup is used. Bynn's side comes from Bynn's own published pages, listed with the sources.
